2022 Was Amazing and I am EXCITED about 2023
2022 was an amazing year for both David and I.
In addition to self publishing my first book (an accomplishment I’m, personally, very proud of), David, the dogs, and I managed to downsize (again) into a smaller, more affordable, home. Our new to us, but needs some work, 32 foot, class C motor home. It’s not perfect, but it’s enough for us.
We also, finally, made our way out of Texas, and started our nomadic life, traveling full time (something we’ve been working towards for YEARS).
David and I got married on the raod, and hosted our fist NeuroDivergent Rebel’s Meetups, in Colorado Springs, CO and another meetup in Cedar Park, TX, as well as our first Roller Skating Meetup, in Pflugerville, TX.
We’ve added another pup to our pack, as our eldest dog (who is now closer to 20 than 15) begins his trip towards the rainbow bridge.
Even though we weren’t looking for another dog, Bear is amazing, and though she’s still a lot of work (as all kids are), she’s also a great kid, and I’m glad she’s here (even if her older siblings aren’t always as enthusiastic about her presence).
Many of the amazing things that happened in 2022 happened because “seeds” that had been planted years prior, and slow steady work, towards goals that once seemed out of reach.
2022 was one of the best years I’ve, personally, experienced in a long time and I am truly excited to see what 2023 will bring.
Thank you to everyone who has been along for the adventures over the years.
The amazing NeuroDivergent Rebel Community members have made all of this possible. Alone David and I are just 2 Autistics in an RV. With you, lifting us up, we’ve been able to do amazing things that I couldn’t have imagined once upon a time.
If you would have told me at the beginning of 2022, that by the end of the year I would be the author of a best-selling business ethics book (Workplace NeuroDiversity Rising) that would be praised in Forbes as “an excellent ‘how to manual’ based on lived experience and professional competence” I’m not sure I would have believed it.
We’ve achieved some amazing things in 2022, but we don’t want to stop here.
David and I have big plans for the new year:
The next project I plan to start, this winter, will be recording the audio book for Workplace NeuroDiversity Rising.
David and I are also talking about co-Authoring a series of NeuroDiversity focused children’s books together.
I also hope to start working on my memoir again in the new year (but this may be over ambitious of me).
In addition, to writing and publishing books, David and I are planning to host free, national (possibly international), NeuroDivergent Rebels Meetups, starting in the western United States (because it’s the most affordable place for us to stay, due to more free off-grid camping availability). The meetups are on pause/hiatus until Spring.
We would love to tour the rest of the country, as well as Canada, and possibly other countries, but with both David and I living like artists often do, our budgets are small and fuel and lodging costs could quickly add up (if we leave the western US).
With such big goals, hopes, and dreams, we can’t do it alone. We need YOUR help.
How quickly we will be able to finish these projects, will largely depend on if we are able to take time away from paid tasks, to work on these items.
This is why I’m asking if you would be willing to subscribe to the NeuroDivergent Rebel monetarily on Facebook, on Instagram, or Patreon (only if you’re able).
*If you are unable to subscribe monetarily, pleas DO NOT feel pressured to do so. David and I aren’t going to starve, and if the projects do take longer, it is not the end of the world.
There are many ways you can support our work.
Sharing and engaging with our content is also extremely helpful, as it will create more reach for the free resources we are creating (which you can’t put a price tag on). Helping people is our number one goal. If you help us reach more people, you are directly helping us reach that goal.
Those who subscribe monetarily will gain access to the following:
Access to Subscriber Only Feed with 5-7 subscriber only posts per week. On Facebook subscriber only posts and content will be released in the top secret subscribers only group.
Early access to unreleased long format videos, before they are released to the general public.
On Patreon, it is the most affordable way to subscribe/support, and everyone has access to the same rewards regardless of support amount, and subscription is pay what you can, starting at only $1 a month (less if you subscribe annually).
Another great way to support our work is to buy, share, or leave a review, for the book I mentioned earlier, Workplace NeuroDiversity Rising (it is currently available as eBook and paperback). They make great gifts for your current or former bosses.
Also, because someone always asks whenever I make a post like this, if subscriptions aren’t your thing/you wanted to send direct support to the blog, we do have PayPal, Venmo (@NeuroDivergentRebel), and CashApp ($NeuroDivergentRebel).
