I have always loved fire. 🔥
Currently one of my favorite stimmy meditation practices is to burn a candle with a color that reminds me of a goal I have, something I want to bring into my life… or burn away.
The flame and melting wax are something to focus on, keeping me in the present moment, so my mind doesn’t wander too far (since my mind floats away like a helium balloon if I’d don’t watch it).
The color reminds me of the purpose of my meditation.
There are all kinds of charts and lists that notate what different colors mean, but (to me) what matters most is what the color means to ME.
In this photo I was burning a green candle… but when David took the photo the candle came out looking purple (another candle color I often chose).
Really cool how the lights play tricks like that. 👀
