Maybe I've "misread" something, missing some unspoken cue - a glance, a wince, or some signal that I've gotten very close to crossing a line (that I can't see).
There's this thing that's always happening to me. It's been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember, starting when I was young.
Despite my best efforts to prevent it, this thing keeps happening, wreaking havoc on my relationships. . .
I get confused, and the next thing I know, people are mad at me. To make matters worse the person (people) often expect(s) me to know what I’ve “done wrong” (while I have no idea).
Have you ever found yourself in a similar situation?
The person's words may have painted the wrong mental picture in my mind.
Maybe my ears misheard the person's words (or failed to process them).
Maybe I've "misread" something, missing some unspoken cue - a glance, a wince, or some signal that I've gotten very close to crossing a line (that I can't see).
