They Just Criminalized Dissent: The Two Presidential Actions That Change Everything - The Regime's Quiet Move to Silence Us All.
This week, there have been two Presidential Actions signaling a significant escalation in the fascist takeover of the United States (and the potential end of this country as many of us have known it). This is not something I say lightly, but this escalation is a grave step that, if not stopped now, puts anyone who’s been protesting or speaking out against the regime in grave danger.
One thing it is important to note:
The president doesn’t have the authority to make these types of rules. However, this president has done (and gotten away with) acting out many things that would traditionally fall outside of presidential authority since taking office (with little to no opposition).

Two Dangerous Presidential Actions
The first Presidential Action that is of great concern came out on September 22nd and was titled “DESIGNATING ANTIFA AS A DOMESTIC TERRORIST ORGANIZATION“.
The dangers:
Misidentifies an Idea or Mindset as an Organization: “Antifa” (short for “anti-fascist”) is not a centralized, hierarchical group (with a membership roster) but a decentralized political mindset.
Labeling antifa (anti-fascists), an idea, as a single “terrorist enterprise” is an intentional mischaracterization that risks applying the label to anyone associated with the principles of being against fascism.
Enables Guilt by Association: By defining Antifa as a loose “enterprise” and implying it is an organized group (rather than an idea), the order risks targeting individuals not for specific illegal acts but for perceived associations or shared values and ideas.
This could criminalize political speech and protest, chilling legitimate dissent (that used to be protected by the First Amendment).
Lacks Clear Definition and Evidence: The description of Antifa’s structure and nationwide “campaign” is a broad and unsubstantiated claim presented as fact.
The intentional vagueness allows those in power to apply this label arbitrarily to a wide range of protesters, activists, and activities (undermining the principle that law enforcement should target criminal actions, not political affiliations or ideas).
Chills Protected Speech and Assembly: The order’s focus on “suppressing political activity” and “material support” could be interpreted to investigate people for providing legal aid, medical support (any other kind of support), or simply participating in a protest that later turns violent, infringing on the First Amendment rights of anyone who disagrees with actions taken by the U.S. government.
The next Presidential Action that should worry anyone who is opposed to what the regime is doing came out yesterday (September 25th) and is titled “Countering Domestic Terrorism and Organized Political Violence“.
This Action is dangerous as well because it:
Criminalizes Ideology and Association: The order directs investigations against individuals and organizations based on their perceived ideology (such as holding views that are “anti-fascism” or “anti-capitalism” as well those who are “anti-Christianity”, and those the government determines to have extreme vies on “immigration, race, and gender” and “hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family, religion, and morality”), opening the door to our government punishing people for their beliefs and associations (rather than specific criminal acts).
Targets Legitimate Political Activity: By broadly defining “domestic terrorism” to include activities like organized doxing and “conspiracies against rights,” the Action risks criminalizing protected speech, protest, and political advocacy under the umbrella of terrorism investigations.
Additionally, the regime will likely ignore that members of MAGA recently enacted a campaign of organized doxing against anyone who dared to mention that Charlie Kirk was not a good person, or who expressed “not being sad“ about what happened to Charlie (all of which is speech protected by the First Amendment).
Creates a Chilling Effect on Dissent: The directive to investigate funders, NGOs, and “financial networks” could intimidate and silence citizens, groups, and donors engaged in lawful political opposition, as they fear being labeled as supporters of terrorism.
This could also be stretched to include other types of support and aid (like housing, sharing support on social media, or harboring) for those this act targets.
It could also be used to target friends, family, and anyone “associated with” those the government is attempting to target.
Reading and subscribing to a blog or social media page that shares anti-fascist or anti-capitalist ideas could even be considered an association, based on the vague language in this and the previously mentioned Action.
Bypasses Legislative Authority: If unchallenged, this Action (and the one previously mentioned) would unilaterally create a new domestic terrorism framework and designation process, a power typically reserved for Congress, thereby concentrating significant authority in the executive branch without clear statutory limits.
Both of these actions are assaults on (and in contradiction to) the First Amendment as outlined in the U.S. Constitution.
The First Amendment primarily exists to protect speech critical of the government and to ensure that citizens have the freedom to associate with one another for the purpose of political expression.
When the First Amendment is respected, the government can punish specific illegal acts (such as incitement to violence). However, it cannot punish speech or association with people simply because they express a controversial or offensive political viewpoint.
What rights are outlined by the First Amendment?
Freedom of Religion: The government cannot establish an official religion (or stop you from practicing your faith freely).
Separation of church and state, anyone? Christian Nationalists don’t seem to understand this one.
Freedom of Speech: The government cannot punish you for expressing your opinions.
This is a right we risk losing if we don’t push back now.
Freedom of the Press: The government cannot censor or restrict what is published in the news or other media.
However, we’ve recently seen the regime attack this right openly and without shame.
Freedom of Assembly: You have the right to gather peacefully with others.
This is another right that is under threat by these two Actions.
Right to Petition: You have the right to petition the government and request changes to its policies.
Once again, we’re dangerously close to losing this fundamental right if these actions are not challenged and stopped now.
These most recent presidential actions pose a direct threat to the work I do (because they target people who dare speak out against those in power), and since reading them, I’ve had a knot in my stomach that won’t subside.
Additionally, both of these actions pose a threat to every person in this country who’s not on board with what the regime is doing, if you’ve ever spoken out against Trump or his regime, especially online (because the internet is forever, even if you delete your posts and comments).
If you’ve ever supported someone who’s anti-capitalist or has dared to speak out against fascism, you might be guilty by association (whether your support was monetary or a simple like, comment of support, or following a blog or social media page).
It’s too late to unpublish, delete, unfollow, or unsubscribe now, because the record of your activity has already been created.
