Online conference to celebrate National Disability Employment Month - “Autistic Networking”
“Autistic Networking” – Thursday, October 24th, 2024, from 8.30 am – 12 noon (PST) / 11.30 pm – 3 pm (EST)
Save the Date Course on Autistic Networking
The “Autistic Networking” event covers various types of networking such as workplace, professional, community, and small business networking. I put together well-respected, successful, and experienced autistic professionals, advocates, and entrepreneurs to share the 'how to' network when building a company's brand, growing a business, and advancing a career.
Dr. Damian Milton’s 'Double Empathy Theory' reminds us that when people with different neurotypes come together, it’s important to find ways to meet in the middle. And, this is exactly the intention of this event, to help everyone understand more than one style of communication when networking!
Here is our stellar lineup of autistic presenters and the topics they will present:
"Connecting Authentically: Networking Strategies for Autistic Employees" with Cole Hasserjian and Ben Sornsen of Workday. Cole, an openly autistic employee, has been leading inclusion initiatives at Workday.
“Understanding Autistic & Neurotypical Communication Style” with Maisie Soetantyo, M. Ed. Maisie is an openly autistic/ADHDer inclusivity training and curriculum designer.
“Building Authentic Branding as Autistic Professionals” with Lyric Rivera of the Neurodivergent Rebel. Lyric (they/them) is an openly late-diagnosed autistic and multiply divergent international speaker, inclusivity consultant, and author of “Workplace Neurodiversity Rising”.
“Autistic Workplace & Self Employment Toolkit” with Tara Regan PhD, founder of Autism Grown Up 501c3.
"Growing and Thriving as Autistic Entrepreneurs” with two very successful autistic small business owners Abi Oyewole of the Bibipins and mom-son duo, Alex and Joanna Jaeger of Big Al’s Best.
All the featured presenters have experienced their share of challenges when starting a business or a career. They will share ideas and tips to help autistic individuals network authentically at any stage of their professional journey.
In addition, Autism Career Pathways is teaming up with Tara Regan, PhD of the Autism Grown Up 501c3 to design a one-of-a-kind “Autistic Workplace & Self Employment Networking Toolkit” This resource will provide comprehensive networking tips, ideas, and self-advocacy strategies.
“Autistic Networking” Early Bird Registration is now open until September 23rd for only $ 75 for the entire conference!
After September 18th, tickets will be $ 89.99. Individual tickets to each segment are $ 29.99.
